Being part of the vibrant LFSF school community (Lycee Francais de San Francisco) as a parent has been rewarding in many ways. Today, I’m excited to share another dimension of my connection to LFSF: the integration of Rozz into the LFSF’s website.

Rozz: Surfacing LFSF Content

The essence of Rozz is simplicity. With the depth and breadth of content on the LFSF site, I felt there was an opportunity to make information retrieval more straightforward and relevant. That’s where Rozz, with its advanced semantic search powered by chatGPT, steps in. 

While the LFSF website has accumulated precious content over the years, the sheer volume can sometimes make specific information hard to find. Rozz was born out of the belief that information retrieval should be efficient and user-friendly. Leveraging chatGPT, it streamlines the search process and surfaces relevant data from any corner of the site.

Reflecting LFSF’s DEIB Values

The values of diversity, inclusion, equity, and belonging (DEIB) are core to the LFSF community life. Rozz reflects these principles by enhancing the accessibility of the website: making information more accessible by reducing clutter and in the way it is presented synthetically and in plain language. The forthcoming audio feature is one such step towards that goal for anyone with reading disabilities.

Multilingual, Just Like Our Community

The LFSF community is beautifully diverse. Rozz’s ability to interact in multiple languages aims to mirror and serve this diversity, making sure everyone feels at home when searching for information.

Progress Through Innovation

I appreciate LFSF’s approach to innovation—thoughtful and centered around student well-being. Integrating Rozz is an example of how to adopt chatGPT gradually, while also demonstrating the school’s embrace of tech by placing it front and center on the website.
